What Jeff does
Daily check-in
Once a day, Jeff asks how you are landing, then helps you look back and look forward.
Talks things through
Say it out loud, or type it. Jeff replies in plain, natural language, in the language you chose.
Remembers what matters
Jeff keeps notes on what you tell him, so you do not start from zero every day. You can see what he knows.
Look it up (coming)
Checking current things like weather or scores is built, but switched off in the preview.
Jeff is an AI, not a person, and not a replacement for a doctor, therapist or emergency service.
Memory and privacy
- Your voice is not stored. Jeff listens live. No audio recordings are kept.
- He remembers text notes, not recordings. Things you tell him are kept as short notes so he can remember you. You can open "What Jeff knows" in the app to see them.
- Built with POPIA in mind. We collect as little as we can and only to run Jeff. A full privacy notice will be published here before public launch.
- Preview limits. Jeff is still in testing. Please do not share sensitive personal details until the full privacy notice is out.
Install Jeff on your phone
Jeff is a web app (PWA). There is no app store download. You add it to your home screen and it opens like a normal app.
Android (Chrome)
- Open the Jeff link you were given in Chrome.
- Tap the menu (three dots) at the top right.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm. Jeff now sits on your home screen.
- Open him and allow the microphone when asked.
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open the Jeff link in Safari. It is the most reliable browser for adding Jeff to your home screen.
- Tap the Share button (square with an arrow).
- Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
- Open Jeff from your home screen and allow the microphone when asked.
Jeff cannot hear me
Check that the browser or app has microphone permission in your phone settings. If voice is unavailable, Jeff switches to typing so you are never stuck.
Do I need the link?
Yes. During the preview, Jeff opens only from a private link sent to testers.
Early access
Jeff is a closed preview. We are letting people in slowly while we finish the safety, sign-in and usage basics.
